Are my existing tickets and/or travel package(s) still valid after the postponement of The Tokyo Summer Games?
Yes, and at the same category of purchase. In other words, if you purchased an A category ticket for an event, it will be honored as an A category ticket in 2021 at no additional cost.
When will the new competition schedule become available?
It is estimated sometime in June or July of 2020 once the IOC, Tokyo Organizing Committee, and International Federations have finalized any and all schedule changes by sport.
What is the return policy after the postponement?
Cartan’s existing terms and conditions for ticket returns will continue to apply although it is recognized there may be some unique circumstances in regard to ticket returns which can addressed on a case-by-case basis by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org
Will more tickets become available?
Once the revised event schedule becomes available, Cartan will make its remaining Games ticket inventory available via its online ticket system. However its unknown if we will be able to accept any new requests from the organizing committee.
How do I know if my payment went through and my tickets are 100% confirmed?
Upon completion of your purchase, you will get an email confirmation of payment. You can also login to your Spotlight account and double check to see if there are any pending payments which you can do under the tab My Orders.
Are there discounts for children or infants?
Children under the age of two (2) at the time of the event, do not required a ticket, provided they remain in the arms/laps of their parents and do not occupy a seat. Children aged two (2) and over require a ticket.
Are there discounts for individuals over the age of 65?
There are no discounts for individuals considered to be senior citizens in their country.
How can I request Accessible Seating for the tickets that I have purchased?
Please send a specific request to email@example.com although Cartan is not able to guarantee that accessible seating (including a companion seat adjacent to it) will be allocated to us from Tokyo. Also, If your accessible seating request cannot be fulfilled, your purchase cannot be refunded.
Where can I pick-up my tickets in Tokyo?
Cartan will have a ticket office in central Tokyo which will be confirmed to all clients and customers two to three months prior to the Games in 2021.
What verification is required to get my tickets?
A government issued identification such as a passport or driver’s license will be required along with your email confirmation from Cartan.
Is it possible to receive my tickets in advance of the Games or sent to me electronically?
No. To ensure the safe distribution and security of all tickets, Cartan requires all ticket customers to pick-up up their tickets in Tokyo upon arrival.
How do I travel to my events in Tokyo?
Cartan does not provide transportation for any Games events but does recommend public transportation such as subways and buses. Also, ticket purchases do NOT include the cost of transportation for the Tokyo Summer Games as it has for previous Games.
Will Cartan buy my tickets back?
No. However, customers are authorized to transfer tickets to a family member, friend or colleague who is known to the purchaser personally and/or has a pre-existing business relationship with the customer. Any such transfer must take place without payment or benefit more than the face value price of the ticket.
Can I sell my tickets on the open market in Tokyo?
No. By doing so will violate Tokyo’s terms and conditions plus puts anyone who does so at risk with local law enforcement authorities including possible jail time in Japan.
Will I be able to choose my seat location at the time of purchase?
Unfortunately not but you can choose the category of ticket you would like to purchase. Cartan will also make its best efforts to keep all ticket requests from one order together but can not guarantee such.
