May 11, 2020

Dear Cartan Clients and Friends,

We hope everyone is safe, healthy and well.

We also wanted to provide you with an update regarding the Tokyo Olympic Games with the information we have received to date.

Unfortunately, we don’t have a lot of specifics yet from the IOC or Tokyo 2020 Organizing Committee but below is what we can share with you:

  • The IOC and Tokyo 2020 are working with the International Federations to finalize the revised event schedule and impacted qualification events. Target date to have this completed is by the end of May 2020.

  • Once the event schedule is finalized, Authorized Ticket Resellers such as Cartan, are expecting to get the new version sometime in June or July 2020.

  • We are also waiting on our hotels to confirm 2021 room availability sometime in June or early July 2020 which we don’t anticipate any issues with them doing so.

In general, we are expecting a smooth operational transition due to the postponement of the Games with no specific issues or adjustments to any of our services which are still available for purchase via our website of (other than tickets which won’t be available again until the new schedule is released).

For clients who have already purchased Cartan’s services, your orders will remain the same as if the Games were held in 2020 with no anticipated price adjustments.

If you have any specific questions about your account or previous order(s), please do not hesitate to contact us at or directly with your specific Cartan Team member if you have already purchased one of our Tokyo experiences.

As we all know, we are living in a time of uncertainty, but one thing that is certain, is Cartan will be there for all of our clients in 2021 like we have for nearly 50 years of Olympic Games travel.
